“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance.
― John Lennon
Hey there, mama-to-be!
I know that the thought of giving birth can be really scary. But fear not! You are not alone, and I am here to remind you that your fear can actually be a powerful force for good.
You see, when we are afraid, we tend to pull back from life. But when we are in love – and I know you love your baby more than anything – we open ourselves up to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance.
So rather than trying to eliminate your fear, my aim is to help you harness it into a powerful force of love.
It’s true that birth can be unpredictable, and that’s what makes it so scary. But you don’t have to face it alone. You can choose your care provider carefully, someone who will support you without judgment and help you embrace all the emotions that arise during birth.
During pregnancy, it’s important to find someone who listens and acknowledges the validity of your feelings. Someone who helps you replace your fear with curiosity, and openly explores what you’re afraid of.
And when it comes to giving birth, know that feeling fear is not a sign of weakness or ignorance. It’s normal, and it can actually help you push your baby out when your body releases adrenaline.
So don’t fight the fear. Work with it, trust your instincts, and accept things as they are.
If you’re feeling scared and in need of some loving reassurance, I invite you to join The Due Date Club – a thriving online community of women just like you. We support each other through the ups and downs of pregnancy and beyond.
So come on over and join us. Let’s face our fears together, with love and support every step of the way.
